At PDTSS we train a wide variety of people, from seasoned military personnel to those who have never picked up a firearm before. This past weekend, Ed trained a domestic violence survivor who was a novice and much to her surprise, she walked away with confidence and the skills she needs to protect herself and her children. She outlines her experience with Ed and illustrates the type of compassion and concern he has towards his students and for his students to learn the proper skills needed in any situation.

Her name has been left off the letter she submitted to protect her and her kids but it is a testament to PDTSS training. Thank you to “Anonymous” for submitting this letter! These are the stories that keep PDTSS going because we feel strongly that our training is top notch and everyone who owns or desires to own a firearm should be properly trained. We also believe that at the core everyone should also have the proper mindset when handling a firearm for every situation. It’s always an honor to train domestic violence victims so they can take their lives back and be one step ahead of the game. Thank you again for submitting this:

--“I want to thank Ed and PTDSS for the excellent class I took last weekend. I am a domestic violence survivor with a very volatile ex-husband on the loose.

I have taken many steps to protect my family from being found by him, but felt it was extremely important to protect myself and the precious lives of my children if he ever did find us. So I decided it was important to become a firearm owner, but also knew it was even more important to be responsible, safe and well trained. I was referred the Ed by a police officer and trusted that I would get the education and training I needed. I was not let down! Ed's training was thorough and spent much time teaching practical, but very important, knowledge.

I was very impressed by the fact that when the time came to learn how to fire my weapon, that I wasn't stood in front of a piece of paper and taught how to target shoot, but was introduced to how to fire my weapon and then eased into a series of real world, real-life situations where I might need my firearm for protection. I left my training feeling well-educated, with confidence (I initially thought I would be lucky to hit the broadside of a barn, but Ed's training was excellent and I ended up surprised at my abilities), with practical knowledge for being prepared and more than satisfied that I could own a firearm safely.

Above all, I can't even come close to speaking highly enough of Ed. He is not only well-educated & carries a ton of knowledge in this area, but he is also a great guy with a lot of patience... which is exactly what someone with my sensitive background & complete inexperience needed. I'm going to be sending everyone I know his direction. If you are looking for firearm training, from a newbie who has never fired a weapon to an experienced shooter who wants to push themselves to be even better, I highly recommend PTDSS as the place to go for all your training!!!”--
