Welcome Mr. Badeau to our school!!
Hello Galileo Team!
This is Matt Badeau. I will be the new 6th Grade math teacher for the 25-26 school year. I'm excited to be part of a motivated team to help our community (students, teachers, staff and families) change our school! When I'm not at school you will find me outside hiking or walking on trails with my wife (Sam) and daughter (June). I also enjoy carpentry, fishing, gardening and DIY projects. Let's make this year the best year of Galileo yet!

We would like to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Marshall who will be joining us as our 7th Grade Science teacher!
As a proud representative of Generation X, my roots trace back to the vibrant city of San Jose, CA. However, my journey took me to the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado Springs, where I relocated in 2008. Nestled here, I’ve had the joy of raising my two sons and daughter, guiding them through the intricacies of the local education system. I also have a heartfelt connection to two inspiring young women who are currently making their mark as students at Coronado High School.
My professional path has been rich and diverse, primarily centered on nurturing and managing people across various industries. For a significant sixteen years, I had the honor of overseeing the Starbucks located at the bustling intersection of South Tejon and Pikes Peak. This cherished community hub was not just a coffee shop; it was a gathering place where relationships blossomed, stories were shared, and memories were created—until we sadly closed its doors in 2020. During my time there, I eagerly participated in the College Achievement Plan, which inspired me to pursue my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in my forties, a testament to the idea that it’s never too late to learn. I continued this journey of academic growth and proudly earned my Master’s in Global Management in 2022.
In 2020, I embarked on an enriching adventure as a youth soccer coach for Pride Soccer Club, primarily working with players aged 9 to 13. This experience has been incredibly fulfilling, as I’ve been able to connect with young athletes on and off the field, igniting their passion for the game while fostering their personal growth. I take great joy in encouraging them to challenge their own limits, guiding them to see the power of taking charge of their development and aspirations. Witnessing their transformation and growth has truly illuminated my path and reinforced my commitment to helping young people thrive.

We are so excited to start the school year with our 6th Grade Bulldogs tomorrow! Please meet one of our new staff members this year--Ms. Collins!
Hi everyone! I’m Ms. Dolly (Adaliah Collins), and I’m so excited to be joining the Galileo Middle School family as the 6th grade AVID teacher! This is my second year teaching, but I’ve also spent time as a substitute teacher, AVID tutor, and special education aide. I’m originally from beautiful Hawaii, where I lived for about 19 years before moving to Colorado. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me drawing, watching anime or scary movies, and playing way too much Stardew Valley. I also love animals and swimming—though I’m still adjusting to doing that in Colorado! I can’t wait to get to know everyone and have an amazing school year together!
We loved seeing all our families at our Back to School Block party!
