The Pikes Peak Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants was chartered in June 1965 as the Colorado Springs / Pueblo Chapter.
The area served by the original chapter was Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Canon City. The chapter had operated as a separate association from 1961 until 1965 when it became affiliated with the National Association of Accountants. In February 1982, the Colorado Springs / Pueblo Chapter divided into two chapters, Pikes Peak Chapter and Colorado South Chapter. In 1999, the Pueblo and Canon City area
