Most people don’t think about their furnace… until something goes wrong 😅
But your furnace is working behind the scenes every day—pushing warm air through your home to keep you comfortable.
Over time, dust and buildup can make it work harder than it should. That means higher energy bills, uneven heating, and sometimes that “why is it so dusty in here?” feeling.
A simple thing like changing your filter regularly can already make a big difference. And a little maintenance now can help avoid bigger issues later.
Stay warm, stay comfortable—and don’t forget about the system taking care of you 🏠✨

Some people think dryer vent cleaning is just pulling the dryer away from the wall and cleaning the vent line from the inside out… and yes, that’s part of it.
But when a dryer vent terminates through the roof, that’s a whole different story.
Not many companies in town do in Colorado Springs allow their technicians to get on the roof to properly inspect and clean underneath the dryer vents termination hood…but we do here at Colorado Duct Doctors. Because it’s not a thorough job. It’s not gonna fix the airflow restrictions causing the dryer not to work properly. The entire vent needs to be inspected and cleaned from both ends.
And trust me… it’s not always quick or easy like most people would think.
Roof-terminated dryer vents often require:
✔️ Additional ladder setup
✔️ Roof access and safety precautions
✔️ Extra equipment
✔️ More time and labor
✔️ Increased liability
On some two-story homes, we have to carry a secondary “step-up” ladder onto the first roof level just to safely access the upper roof pitch where the dryer vent exits.
A proper dryer vent cleaning isn’t always just about cleaning the duct from inside the laundry room. If the exhaust hood on the roof is clogged with lint, airflow can still be restricted even if the vent line itself is cleaned.
Behind the scenes, there’s a lot more involved in these jobs than most homeowners realize — but making sure the system is cleaned properly and safely is worth it.

⚠️ Reduced airflow = overheating, trapped moisture, and premature wear on your dryer.
🚨 First warning sign:
Clothes start taking longer to dry (2–3 cycles).
⏰Most of the time, it’s not the dryer itself—it’s the dryer vent. Over time, lint and debris build up in the duct, restricting airflow and causing performance issues.
‼️Dryer vent cleaning resolves these problems in most cases. If left too long, restricted airflow can overheat and wear out internal components (such as the heating element), leading to costly repairs.‼️
Don’t just clean the lint trap inside your dryer—the entire dryer vent line also needs to be thoroughly cleaned at least once a year. This is recommended by most appliance manufacturers to maintain efficiency, extend the life of your dryer, and reduce the risk of a dryer fire.
Dryer vent cleaning keeps the dryer in safe and efficient operation.
