THEN AND NOW! 30 years ago, I moved to Colorado to start my first teaching job at . I was hired as the first Media Specialist at newly constructed Piñon Valley Elementary. That same year, Scott Johnson moved from New Jersey to start his teaching career as the first PE teacher at PVE. My career had many twists and turns over the last three decades, but Scott stayed in that same position at that same school for his ENTIRE career! It’s astounding! He coached high school soccer and started a very popular sports camp for younger children that still operates today. He has impacted thousands of kids - no exaggeration - sharing his passion for sports and promoting an active lifestyle. His positivity permeates everything he does. Kids of all ages love him. He is truly a legend and will definitely be missed. Congratulations on your retirement, Coach J! I hope the fishing and pickleball keep you busy for the next 30 years and beyond!
