Adult and Family Ed would like to take a moment to honor our staff and their hard work at GED Graduation yesterday! You all are AMAZING and it was a true success. We'd also like to take this moment to say a heartfelt THANK YOU and SEE YOU LATER to Kate, our Adult Ed GED Teacher Leader, she is leaving us for the Midwest. We'll miss you Kate!

Adult and Family Ed would like to formally CONGRATULATE the Class of 2026!!! GED Graduation was tonight and it was an absolute success! Beautiful graduates, families, and friends all gathered together to celebrate overcoming the odds and obtaining a GED. You did it! We as a staff are SO PROUD AND EXCITED!!!! (Peep the last photo) Woohooo!!!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! This holiday is believed to be Mexican Independence Day, but FUN FACT, that is NOT what it commemorates! Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Led by General Ignacio Zaragoza, a smaller, poorly equipped Mexican force defeated a larger, better-equipped French army, boosting Mexican morale!

Adult and Family Ed is doing SCIENCE!!! In Ms. Denise's GED class students extracted DNA from a Strawberry! To get ready for the Science GED, students learn many things about The Scientific Method, and they get hands on experience putting it into action!

Happy Spring! The Adult and Family Ed staff do a movement challenge every Spring. We try to walk to get a certain number of steps each day. Some other ideas to get outside could be to do do Yoga in the park, or take a nice walk in your neighborhood. Enjoy the sun!
