Want to improve your horse’s frame?
Start here:
• Forward , steady energy first ( no short/ quick steps, we want long strides)
• Soft, elastic contact ( finding just the right balance in your reins)
• Engage the hind end — don’t just pull the head down but think of lifting the horses back.
Frame is a result, not something you force. Ever!
✨ Save this for your next ride.

AK Dressage started because of my love for the art behind dressage —
it started with the idea that every horse and every rider needs to be met with where they are.
Through every challenge, every horse, every lesson…
AK Dressage turned into the family I never knew I needed.
It’s the clients and the horses that make what it is, today. And it’s beautiful!
And the best part we’re just getting started. ❤️

One of the most common mistakes I see when teaching is…
Holding too much tension on the inside rein
→ Fix: think about keeping the horse between your hands, seat and legs. While turning with the outside aids. A huge part of this comes from wanting to turn the horse with that inside rein
One of my favorite exercises to do with clients that struggle with this is to put them on a lunge line. And ask them to trot around me while I control the inside rein for them and they can find that beautiful feeling on their outside rein.
Dressage isn’t about force — it’s about having that conversation with your horse

What it’s like training with AK Dressage:
• Personalized programs for horse + rider to meet their goals
• Focus on correct foundation (no shortcuts)
• Support whether you’re showing or just improving at home
This isn’t a “quick fix” program —
it’s for riders who actually want to understand their horse
✨ If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
( and if everything goes as planned..We will be able to take on training horses in the next two-three months at our very own location!!)

Roman 🤍
If you know him, you know — he has a presence you can’t teach.
He’s the kind of horse that makes you slow down, ride better, and actually feel every step.
Not always the easiest… but always worth it.
Watching his progress has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
✨ Who is your heart horse?

Slow mornings. Fresh hay. Quiet moments before the ride.
It’s not always glamorous, but always worth it.
And honestly… I wouldn’t trade this life for anything.
Do you have a favorite moment at the barn???
