From the lovely
An area I feel passionate about is the breath and how the breath affects our daily lives, our meditation practice, and physical yoga practice. It’s an area I believe most people, practitioners, and teachers miss out on the amazing amplifying affects during their yoga practice or during their daily lives.
It is also in my opinion what deciphers a practitioner that is doing physical Asana as exercise vs one that uses the physical practice as a full being treatment of balancing mind, body, & spirit. It’s what moves you from being a beginner to being an advanced practitioner regardless of the poses you can or can’t do. It’s more important than the physical poses in my opinion.
We breathe all day but do we really use the full capacity of our breath at least once a day?
When you do a physical practice do you feel like your panting or are you able to fill your lungs completely while managing the pose and the transitions? Even if it’s not Asana yoga. Like running or weightlifting.
Are you often taking double breaths to your teacher cuing one breath?
Do you ignore the breath cues chalking it up to it just not being the right pace of breath for you?
Do you panic when you are retaining your breath?
Do you understand what Ujjayi breath is supposed to feel like or sound like?
Do you understand that your connection to your breath is not just a way to manage your stress in the moment but is a profound gateway to true self mastery in all areas of your life?
Your teachers are always saying that they should be able to hear your breath, are you able to make your breath audible enough that the instructor could stand next to you and hear YOU breathe?
We will explore the physical, anatomical methodology of the breath in this workshop. You will leave with a greater understanding of what it means to breath and how the breath moves and creates energy in your being and in your life. You will have a tool box of breathing exercises to pull from to suit your life.
This workshop is geared towards those that know little about the breath and/or feel they lack mastery in this department.
Put this on your calendar! Zoom is an option.
