What habits are you building to be the best version of yourself?

I've been enjoying mornings at the gym with my humans and meditating!

It seems that today, living intentionally is something we hear about often. Yet, do we truly slow down to think about what that means in our lives and our leadership?

Check out this article for more info to get those gears spinning.

Wait for the video:)

It's Wellness Wednesday, so I thought I'd share a bit about my wellness journey.

Throughout my life, I have often put my career ahead of my physical and mental well being. I am sure none of you have ever been there... right?

Let's talk through that for a second. What does that lead to?
In the short-term: neck pain, back pain, migraines, frequent illness, and stress.
In the long-term: burn out, increased risk of heart attack, diabetes, and so much more.

That, however, is only the impact it has on ME. What about the impact my health has on others? When I am healthy (body, mind, and spirit), I am a better leader, a better friend, a better wife.

Last year, I started a journey to make 2020 my healthiest year and it was. This year that challenge continues as I train with my best friend and husband, a fitness/yoga trainer.
Truth be told, training at the gym is WAY outside my comfort zone. Athletically inclined are not words anyone uses to describe me, but growth happens at the edge of your comfort zone and I am determined to be the best version of myself for myself AND FOR the people who rely on me.

How are you taking care of yourself body, mind, and spirit?

Love this quote from Simon Sinek

Leadership is more than a title, unfortunately too many people forget that.

Leadership is a mindset, a way of life, a heart dedicated to serving other.

Some of you may not yet have the title to lead, but are looking forward to that moment. Regardless of the title you may or may not have, how will you lead in your community today?

168 hours. That is how many hours you get in a week. That is how many hours your neighbor gets in a week. That is how many hours the multi-millionaire gets in a week.

We all get the same amount of hours, but we all get to choose how to spend them. Isn't that a beautiful thing?

I talked about goals last week, now the question is how do your calendar and schedule line up with your goals? If someone was to peer into your calendar, what would they see?

"A goal without a timeline is just a dream." ~Robert Herjavec

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to dream:) Years of dreams that never come true are sad though.
Even better than dreams are goals.
Even better than goals are plans!

SMART goals are where the magic happens.
Every time you write a goal, you should be incorporating these elements:
-Specific: Get to the nitty gritty. How will you accomplish this goal?
-Measurable: How will you measure your success? How will you know if you accomplished the goal?
-Achievable: Setting a goal that is way outside of your realm of possibility right now is only frustrating.
-Realistic: This may be the hardest piece. For the optimists and dreamers like me, we want to crunch deadlines and shoot for the moon. Think about what you can truly accomplish in your life. You can always set another goal:)
-Timely: When will you accomplish this goal by?

If you want to dive further into setting goals for yourself, your team, your business... sign up for my email list, link in bio, so I can keep you updated on my upcoming programs to help you find your Spark!

Goals can be intimidating. Especially when I talk about choosing your mountain to climb.

We think...."What if I choose the wrong mountain? Then I'll be sweating, working my t***y off for the wrong thing!"

First, you don't have to start with a mountain. Do I want you to dream big and bold?! HECK YES I DO.

I promise you though, no one climbs Everest as their first mountain, they train, they prep, they learn, they grow.

So start with a hill you want to climb. Maybe it is a goal you want to execute on every day? Maybe it is a goal you can accomplish in a month? Maybe it is a goal that will take three months?

Remember though, it's YOUR goal, YOUR happy, YOUR life.

If you can't tell, I love goals. You can either let your life pass you by and react to life everyday or you can create the life you want.

So write down your goals. Today.
