We always love having a kids’ giveaway at the Pikes Peak Gem, Mineral & Jewelry Show, sponsored by the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society. The show is June 5, 6, 7, at the Norris Penrose Event Center.
This year’s theme celebrates Southwestern Colorado minerals, and we’re hoping to give away smoky quartz to the kids who attend. If you happen to have a few extra smokies (or a whole flat!) and aren’t sure what to do with them, we’d be so grateful if you’d consider donating them to the club for the show.
Please contact me with your donations. Thank you for helping us spark a love of rocks in the next generation! 💎

Good morning!
Tonight at 7pm at the Colorado Springs Christian School (4855 Mallow Road), we will hear from Geologist and avid Tourmaline Collector John Warn speaking on the Himalaya Mine, Tourmaline, and the surrounding Southern California pegmatite district.
As always, bring treats and snacks—these are always very much appreciated. Everyone is also welcome to bring in a box of specimens to show off, or get identified.
Hope to see everyone there!
