We will hold our CSMS Summer Picnic this week on Saturday August 29th from 11 am to 1 pm, at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry (225 North Gate Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO). As always with this event, any visitors or members are welcome to come join us!
This is an outdoor POTLUCK event, so bring some lunch food items to eat and share with everyone else in attendance.
In addition, up to 25 of our members will get to tour the mining museum for FREE. If you’ve never visited our local mining museum, this weekend will be a great opportunity to visit with other society members for lunch (and some social time) AND tour the museum on the same day!
Guests, visitors, longtime members, and new members are all welcome to come and spend some time with the membership of the CSMS. Also, feel free to bring some mineral specimens to show off or get help identifying.
