BREAKING | During Tuesday night’s Martinsville City Council meeting, Council Member Aaron Rawls motioned to release the findings of the Sands Anderson investigation, which led to the August 7 firing of former City Manager Aretha Ferrell-Benavides.

• The motion was seconded by Council Member Julian Mei

• Rayshaun Gravely and Vice Mayor Kathy Lawson voted against it

• Mayor L.C. Jones abstained

The report, which has not been made public, involves allegations of malfeasance and dishonesty and is tied to the handling of ARPA funding.
