So proud of my students this year!

Better tone, stronger technique, improved sightreading, and successful auditions all the way around.

This kind of growth is why I love teaching!

Happy to let the little clarinets out today to play with the Corinth Symphony Orchestra🎶

I'm just gonna say it. I feel so lucky to have the best students!

Not because they succeed with their auditions, but because every single kid is a joy to work with. Students, if you're up here, I love teaching you. If you are not up here, I love teaching you.

Our clarinet studio's audition results: 12 All West, 8 Blue Band, 4 Red Band, 2 All-State eligible. Not too shabby, kids.

See you back at it next week 😉🎶

Ever had a bass clarinet emergency that wasn’t actually an emergency? 😅

These little corks are wedged under the keys of new Jupiter bass clarinets to protect them during shipping.

Just toss them and get to playing 🎶

Thanks to for keeping those instruments safe (and sounding great)! 💛

This weekend’s balance looks like:
☕ family time
🎶 sneaking in an extra lesson

Show up fully. Protect your time fiercely.

👉How do YOU maintain balance? (Or do you?)

Avoid this common clarinet pitfall! 🎵
❌ Don’t say “Too.” When students say “Too,” that puts the tongue on the roof of the mouth instead of the reed—and that creates a thuddy, popping sound instead of a clean articulation.
✅ Quick fix: say, “Thoo” to place tip of the tongue in a more forward position to tongue on the tip of the reed for a crisp “T” articulation.
👉 Try it with your clarinet section this week!
