Supporting & Advocating for Gifted Education (SAGE)

10/01/2026

What a great turnout for our Meet & Greet with Dr. Jason Adams! We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a meaningful opportunity for connection and conversation.

A special thank you to Dr. Adams for giving GC SAGE the opportunity to get to know you better, share more about your vision for GCISD, and answer questions from our parents about Gifted Education and Advanced Academics. We appreciate your time and willingness to engage with our community.

And we're not stopping here! 💙

Be on the lookout for more opportunities to continue the conversations started at the event. GC SAGE is committed to creating opportunities for families to connect, stay informed, and work together to support and advocate for our gifted learners.

Thank you for showing up, asking questions, and being part of the SAGE community. 🌟

Every year, GC-SAGE is incredibly proud to recognize educators in our gifted community who go above and beyond to support, challenge, and inspire our students.

The Sherry Hamilton Memorial Award is named in honor of a beloved and deeply missed GCISD GT educator. Sherry's passion, dedication, and heart for gifted learners continue to inspire the educators who carry that same spirit forward. 💙

This year's award goes to Andy Tucker, Cross Timbers Middle School ASPIRE Academy! 🎉👏

Andy, thank you for the countless ways you support and challenge our gifted learners and for the impact you make every day.

A special thank you to the Hamilton family for joining us to present this year's award. We are grateful for the opportunity to honor Sherry's legacy together. ❤️

Please join us in congratulating Andy Tucker!🌟

🗳Are you registered to vote? Is your address current? Check now at https://www.votetexas.gov.

➡The deadline to register for the November 3 election is Monday, October 5. If you have moved, changed your name, or are registering for the first time, take a minute today to make sure your information is correct.

➡SAGE has heard from parents, teachers, and students, and one thing is clear: The State of Texas is not adequately funding or supporting our public schools.

➡With the 90th Texas Legislative Session approaching, GC-SAGE is starting a campaign to help our community better understand G/T laws, what G/T looks like in GCISD, and legislation that could affect gifted education. We will also share opportunities to get involved, make your voice heard, and advocate for gifted students along the way.

➡Advocacy starts with exercising your right to vote.
