The things immovable bear your fingerprints, the smoothened cliff walls are but strokes of your thumb. We live worlds not yet kiln kissed and in knead of your palms shouting into expanses with expectation of our voice resounding because everything makes us feel small.” @ College Station, Texas

I’m Faye, and I create art about people (and lately fungi). Creating art is like a deep conversation. Whenever I paint or draw, the one thing that comes in my head is: ‘What do I want to talk about?’ The answer to my question is what people see in my art and how they interpret it.” @ College Station, Texas

for today’s member feature, we have the multi-talented !! a film photographer, leather craftsman, and table builder (among other things). his film prints will be for sale during fusion, and if you’d like to check out his leatherwork, he is selling several beautiful items in which 15% of the proceeds will go to ⚡️// “I don’t consider myself a photographer, just a person who carries around a camera documenting my experiences. I love film because every shot I take holds more value. With a limited number of chances to capture a memory, I am forced to think about what I want to remember the most and how to frame that memory. To me the picture is not about the subject matter, but the memories associated with it!” @ College Station, Texas

fusion starts THIS FRIDAY people!!! we will be featuring a few of our talented members everyday up to the last day of fusion. first up is Catherine Rosas, a talented collage artist. she will be selling prints at fusion! // “Growing up, I was often ashamed of how different my culture and language were to my community. I know now that those differences are part of my story, which deserve to be told. Diversity provides opportunities to share and learn, to grow and transform. I hope to bring that perspective to every aspect of my life. The poetic attributes, fierceness, and connection to nature Latin cultures and the Spanish language hold are things that I am proud of and incorporate into my art today.” @ College Station, Texas
