2026 8U G1 Brothers Baseball Info

Dear Parents,

G1 Brothers 8U is a fall “clinic” that will be designed for Little League age “6-8-year-olds” staying in machine pitch or moving up to machine pitch for the 2027 Little League season. THIS IS NOT A TRAVEL TEAM, WE WILL ONLY PRACTICE AND SCRIMMAGE IN TOWN ON WEEKDAYS. Try outs are scheduled for July 26th at 6pm Harvey Little League. This is a “select” clinic in the sense that not all kids will be offered a spot. We are limited on available field space and number of volunteers. Parents will be notified if they are offered a spot no later than Sunday Aug. 3rd. We will aim to take a mixed age group.

This program will practice/scrimmage every Tuesday evening from 6–7:30pm starting August 25th and concluding October 27th for a total of 10 practices. All practices will be at Harvey Little League. If we get rained out on a regularly scheduled Tuesday, we will try to make it up on the Thursday of the same week.

The registration cost per player will be $100. This fee will go towards a team liability/medical insurance policy, new baseballs and catchers’ equipment. It will also include a G1 hat and practice jersey for each player. Any funds leftover will be donated to Harvey Little League for field use. We will use GroupMe for communication purposes during the season.

Again, we will not be traveling for any games, nor will we enter any local tournaments. The overall goal of this program will be to prepare incoming and returning players for their upcoming 2027 season of Junior Minor Boys (machine pitch) next spring while having fun and introducing a healthy dose of competition.

Weekly practice will be a mix of drill stations, batting cages and scrimmages

Drills will include: Beginner grounders body and glove form, catching, throwing mechanics, soft toss/tee work, infield fungo, base running, agility cone drills, machine pitch at bats and developing overall baseball IQ growth.
