MSTA CO****LE TOURNAMENT IS THIS THURSDAY!

Our first social event of the year is almost here, and we want YOU to join us! Come out to Pearce Pavilion this Thursday at 6:00 PM for our annual MSTA Co****le Tournament!

Not only will we have plenty of co****le, competition, and fun, but dinner is provided! 🌭 Come hungry because we’ll have hot dogs for everyone to enjoy!

🚨Entry:
• Dues-paying MSTA members: FREE!
• Non-members: $5/person or $10/team
• Entry fees can be paid in person the day of the event

Howdy! My name is Joaquin Tagle, and I’ll be serving as this year’s MSTA President. I am currently a senior Animal Science major from Robstown, Texas. My start in meat science came about freshman year when I first heard about the MSTA. Howdy! My name is Ava Harborth, and I am excited to serve as Vice President for MSTA this year! I am a Junior studying Animal Science from Marion, Texas. Previously, I was a member of the Meat Science Quiz Bowl Team, and I am currently a member of the 2026 Fightin’ Texas Aggie Meat Judging Team. Meet Cale Cornelius, the 2026-27 MSTA Communications Student Director!

Howdy! My name is Cale Cornelius, and I am excited to serve as Communications Student Director for MSTA this year! I am a Junior studying Animal Science from Timpson, TX. From a very young age, I have developed a deep passion and drive for the livestock and agriculture industry through growing up showing and raising Santa Gertrudis cattle. It wasn’t until college, however, that I discovered my more recent passion within the meat industry after becoming a member of the 2026 Texas A&M Meat Judging Team. Since then, I have found myself wanting to become more involved each day, which is why I am so passionate about helping make MSTA the best it can be. Meet Maycee Foussadier, our 2026-27 MSTA Graduate Student Liaison!

Howdy! My name is Maycee Foussadier, and I am excited to serve as this year’s Graduate Student Liaison for MSTA! I am a 2nd Year Masters Student studying Meat Science under Dr. Chris Kerth. I was a member of the 2023 Fightin’ Texas Aggie Meat Judging Team as well as the 2025 Meat Animal Evaluation Team! My favorite part of MSTA is being able to connect with my peers that also share an interest in meat science and hear about their experiences!
