Sierra Leone team has arrived! Today was their second day at the school. Everyone was very excited to meet and they’ve gotten a lot done. So far, the team has replaced the UV filter battery, primary school inverter, and began teaching the teachers how to use the laptops. Everything’s going well without a hitch!

Despite the cold, the Local Team has made great progress on the mock build of their insect hotel, continuing to get comfortable with tools. They will hopefully be installing next week!

MDSE Provides Electricity for Yabucoa Elder Care Center in Puerto Rico
In June, members of MDSE from the University of Maryland joined with non-profit Global Solace and traveled to Puerto Rico to provide electricity to the Yabucoa Elder Care Center (nursing home) by installing a solar photo-voltaic system as well as emergency backup electricity to the center for future storm-related emergencies.
