Last night I had the honor of attending the Wisconsin Association of School Boards Regional Meeting and was recognized with a Level 1 Member Recognition Award! ❤️🖤 ✅️

WASB awards points to school board members for completing professional development, attending educational conferences, workshops and webinars, and participating in other leadership opportunities.

Level 1 is earned after reaching 75 professional development points. My personal goal for year 2 of serving on the school board is reaching level 2 at 150 points.

I truly believe that if I'm going to have the privilege of serving our students, staff, families and community, then I also have a responsibility to keep learning. There is SO much that goes into effective school board governance, and I'm grateful for every opportunity to learn more and bring that knowledge back to Colfax.

Never stop learning. Never stop asking questions. And never stop working to be better for the people you serve. ❤️🖤

🏈 COLFAX FAMILIES & COMMUNITY — I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

This Monday, the School Board will be discussing and potentially voting on whether Colfax Football should transition from 11-player to 8-player football.

This is a significant decision that could impact our students and football program for years to come.

There are a lot of factors to consider, including enrollment projections, participation numbers, postseason eligibility, player opportunities, youth program development, and the long-term future of Colfax Football.

Whether you support 8-player football, 11-player football, or simply have questions, I encourage you to share your perspective.

I give so much credit to the staff and students in Colfax! No AC in the school & these past hot 🥵 days! I stood in there for 10 minutes and was glistening doing nothing!

I truly do not know how it's possible for students to learn in those uncomfortable temps! Or teachers/staff to teach and take care of kids, cooks to cook, environmental services to clean, etc. etc. etc.

Students walk out of school when classrooms hit 91 degrees: ‘There has to be something done’

So excited to welcome our new superintendent to his first School Board meeting with the district. It's an exciting time for our school, students, staff, and community as we begin this new chapter together.

Serving on a public platform like a school board makes anyone an easy target. This is never a popularity contest...most of the time, it’s quite the opposite. That’s why it’s disappointing to see anonymous letters circulating in our community targeting one of our current board members & other individuals, who give back in so many ways.

Hiding behind a computer or an unsigned letter, especially when claiming to represent a “group” that does not truly exist, is not a credible source!

From my firsthand experience, Jaclyn is supportive, engaged, and genuinely committed to doing what’s best for our students, staff, and community. If you have questions or concerns, ask her directly...she will give you an honest answer, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Throw those letters away and make sure you get out and vote! We have four great candidates for three spots, and together we’ll continue moving in the right direction...moving mountains for the good of Colfax!
