🏃‍♂️ Cross Country Practice Starts August 3! 🏃‍♀️

Cross Country practice will begin Monday, August 3, at 7:00 a.m.

📅 Practice Schedule:
🗓 Monday–Friday
⏰ 7:00–8:15 a.m.

Due to updated heat protocols, we are still working through plans for practices once school begins. We will share those details as soon as a decision has been made.

💧 Water will be provided, but athletes should also bring an extra water bottle to stay hydrated.
🏖️ Please bring a beach towel to each practice as well.

We can't wait to kick off a great season! 💪🏃

This is a special group made up of 8 incoming freshmen and 4 incoming 8th graders—and trust us, these boys are ones to watch. Their hard work, grit, and determination have earned them a chance to compete on one of the biggest stages, and they are ready to represent Coldspring with pride.

Taking the ball to get us started is Kam Contreras, with Trent Whitmire behind the plate. This duo is locked in and ready to set the tone from the very first pitch. 💪🔥

These boys have worked all summer for this moment. Every practice, every inning, every mile traveled has led to today. Now it’s time to compete with heart, grit, and the pride of Coldspring on their backs.

New Era of Trojan Athletics starts now!

Welcome Coach Allen 👏🏼🙌🏽

We are excited to announce and welcome home to Trojan Nation, our new Athletic Director and Head football Coach….

Chad Allen

Coach Chad Allen is honored to return home as the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD. A proud Coldspring graduate and former Trojan student-athlete, Coach Allen is married to Carissa, and together they have two sons, Caysen and Chayse.
Coach Allen brings 10 years of coaching experience from Cypress Falls High School, where he coached football and basketball while helping develop student-athletes in one of Texas' premier 6A athletic programs. A graduate of Lamar University with a bachelor's degree in General Studies and a master's degree in Criminal Justice, he believes athletics should develop the whole student-athlete by emphasizing academics, character, discipline, leadership, and service.

His vision for Trojan Athletics is to build a unified program where coaches, athletes, parents, and the community work together under one standard of excellence. While committed to building competitive teams, Coach Allen believes true success is measured by the lasting impact coaches have on the lives of student-athletes and their preparation for success beyond graduation.

Coach Allen is excited to return home to invest in the students, schools, and community of Coldspring while building a championship culture rooted in character, accountability, and Trojan pride.
