Consider A Chorus Line
So many members of our elementary drama student staff will be a part of A Chorus Line, directed by our high school assistant director and choreographer Tara Judd, next weekend with Kennedy Talent. I can't stress enough that the best way to keep young kids involved in theater is to show them what happens when you stick with it. Growth promotes growth. Taking your child to professional productions is always fun and promotes theater appreciation, but when children watch older kids (especially ones they know) onstage it creates realistic expectations and achievable goals. When a child sees performances or backstage work as achievable it encourages confidence and helps develop new skills.
A Chorus Line looks and sounds amazing. It is non-stop dancing and constant showstopping numbers with a story that will fill you with all of the emotions. It's also a special show for theater kids because it is a show about theater people which makes it relatable. The story takes place at a dance call in NYC and goes through meeting each performer at the final audition as they take their place next to each other onstage, which is commonly known as a chorus line.
Please be aware that the show is a little heavy at some parts and there is some language. Even though this is the teen version, please reach out if you are unfamiliar with the show and looking for more information.
Ticket info and performances with all Cohoes kids are listed in the comments.
Thank you to Cohoes Elementary Drama Club for your support! We appreciate you!❤️❤️
