We usually start children at age 2 for our preschool program but, we can now accommodate younger children once they can walk without assistance.
All meals and bedding are included in our monthly price.
We offer a safe and clean environment with small class size so your child will get plenty of individual attention.
Our preschool program is hands on and based around your child's individual needs and speed. Unlike most programs that require children to learn as a group whether they are ready or not, we understand that every child learns differently and at their own pace and speed. With this in mind, we have designed our program for each child's learning style, ability, need and speed.
We offer literacy, math, science, sensory, art, STEM, problem solving skills, social and emotional skills and self help skills along with plenty of fun including playing outside daily.

Welcome! It's that time again to start thinking about preschool for your little ones. We have reopened in our home and will be taking a small class this year, ages 1-5 ( must be walking please to be considered ). All meals are included and provided along with bedding for naps. We have an excellent preschool program that is designed to work with all children and meets each child where they are. They work at their own pace, instead of their classmates, and have fun while doing all the hands on activities offered. We start children in preschool activities young due to how their brain develops and so they are not rushed while having fun while they play.
We offer dramatic play, building play, sensory play, art, math, literacy, science, self help skills, problem solving skills, emotional learning, outside play and so much more....

Update;
I would like to thank everyone for your continued support while we have been closed due to health concerns. Unfortunately, after 40 years, we had closed our doors and had no idea whether we would be able to return or not however, things have been slowly getting better and instead of operating a center immediately, we have decided to start slowly at home, to evaluate our ability, while gaining strength and momentum. Moving forward, we will offer care for a few children at home until we have confirmation that we both, myself and my husband, can manage operating a childcare establishment again. Since we are home, we are able to take younger children if needed. They must be able to walk to participate though so no children under 12 months please. Cut off age is those who have already started kindergarten would be considered too old. We will still offer preschool and hands on activities, as well as provide all meals. We consider ourselves a no screen establishment but we will watch a movie with popcorn occasionally in our theater room. We do go outside daily and on occasion, go to the local parks within walking distance from our home. Right now, our hours are 7am-5pm M-F. Additional hours, if needed, will be considered. Weekend or overnight care is up for negotiations. I may consider a Saturday or Sunday or overnights however, we DO need time off each week to recharge and get things done so please be understanding if I turn you down.

While many are working on Thanksgiving activities, we encourage our children to think about why we are Thankful instead. We share with each other what it is that each of us are thankful for. It's a hard concept to grasp at an early age but, it starts to set in motion the other concepts we teach next month about giving.
I am Thankful for mine and my husbands health this year! I am also Thankful that I have a house over my head, heat to keep us warm, and a bed to sleep in! I am Thankful for the food we eat, the water we drink, and the pets we hold dear. Most of all, I am thankful for my job that supports us, for friends who are more like family, and that my husband is with me another year!

Some things my children are Thankful for this year....Mommy and Daddy, Grandma's and siblings, for an uncle, for my puppy, for their favorite toy, and for their favorite blanket and last, but not least, for cake! Maybe we have a mini Marie Antoinette!

Just a reminder, we have one more spot available for a child ages 18-36 months. As a preschool, what makes us different is we start our children at an early age, not the normal ages of 4-5 but around 2 years of age. When children are under their first 1000 days, they are building synopsis and connections in the brain at an incredible rate. The more information we can give them during this time, the more we aid in building these connections, the easier it will be to learn everything necessary needed for school and life. Not only to learn it but to enjoy learning and carry that enjoyment of learning into adulthood. We strive to make as many connections as we can in the hope they will succeed in anything they choose. The connections make learning easier and we make learning more fun by providing hands on activities that are continuously rotated to prevent boredom. Yay! My favorite holiday is coming....Halloween! Along with the party we will have on Friday, we will also be doing many Halloween inspired activities in Math, Literacy, Science, Sensory, Art, Problem Solving and Fine Motor. In the photos are just a few of the ideas we use to learn.

Getting ready for Pumpkins! We have many things planned for sensory and science, math and literacy, STEM and dramatic play, and art and library. These are just a few photos of what we will be doing over the next 2 weeks.
If interested in starting your child in our preschool program, we have an opening in our beginning class! To prepare children for school, most preschools use the year before kindergarten, and try to fit everything a child may need into one year of very rapid learning which can be too much information and not enough fun for some children. At Watch Me Soar, we start children around 2 years of age, and help them learn through play. Because they start younger and have more time, they are better prepared, learn and retain more and have fun while they play/learn with our hands on activities. They also get to work at their own pace so they are never held back or pushed harder when they are not ready because the class is. The younger they start our program, the more they learn before starting school. We work on social emotional skills along with math and literacy, science and STEM, art and sensory as well as plenty of play, indoors and out. All meals are included in price and so is laundry service for bedding which is also provided. Your child is not required to be potty trained to start learning nor do they have to be speaking yet. We also help with independence, self help and problem solving skills.

This week and next are all about Fall and Fire Safety. We have plenty of Fall science experiments, Fall sensory ideas, Fall and Fire Safety crafts and art ideas, and of course Hands on Fall and Fire Safety Math and Literacy activities so we can learn while we play. We also have set up a Fire Department for Dramatic play.

This week is all about apples! We will be indulging in apple pie sensory activities and in apple science experiments. We will also be doing math and literacy activities with apples, many apple crafts to take home, baking apple bread/tarts and pies and going to the apple orchard for a field trip on Wednesday.
Parents please remember to dress children appropriately for the orchard with long pants, good walking shoes and a jacket. Lunch will be provided by us.
We are looking forward to getting back to learning activities after the long summer. Fall has always been my favorite!

It's that time of year again and we are a bit behind, sorry!
We are interviewing families for our preschool program starting in the Fall 2022. If your child is 18-30 months, and you would like to enroll them in wonderful program, that grows with your child, and that teaches your child while having fun... In a program that works with each child's needs instead of lumping them together due to their age... That is specifically designed for them as individuals, where their needs are and where they can thrive at their own pace and skill level... Then please consider us.
We are a small class of children with 2 teachers so, your child will get plenty of one on one, dedicated attention.
All meals are provided and made on site, from scratch. We take part in the USDA food program to ensure meals are healthy.
All bedding is provided, and washed weekly on site.
Our curriculum is hands on and each child grows and learns at their own pace while they have fun.
Curriculum, props, activities are all rotated often so children are never bored.
Child does NOT need to be potty trained before enrolling.
We believe in going outside each and every day whenever possible. Only rain/ice storms or blizzards keeps us in.
All staff are background checked, Pediatric First Aid and CPR certified, annual trainings through Idahostars and USDAFP.
Building has been approved by an Idaho State Inspector and the local fire marshal.
Owner has been in childcare for 40 years, and dedicated her life to caring for other peoples childcare. I believe children should learn by having fun so they don't dread education but fall in love with it!
