Congratulations to the Atlas February '24 Classified Employee of the Month, Tina Stanchfield! She was anonymously nominated:

"Tina and her whole kitchen crew are such hard workers. I never see her without a smile on her face. She greets all the kiddos at lunch as if she has known them forever. She brings such a positive attitude to not only the kitchen but the whole school. She stepped into this role last year, and you would have never known that she hasn't been here for years. She is an upbeat problem solver, and a delight to be around! We appreciate everything that she does for the kids and staff here at Atlas!"

Congratulations to Celine Clyne who was named the Atlas Classified Employee of the Month for November! She received 3 nominations, and they were all listed as "anonymous:"

1. Celine is always thorough and shows compassionate work with students throughout the building. Celine is consistent with expectations, excellent at communicating with staff and students alike, and is an asset to Atlas Elementary School. Celine works with some of our students while they are persevering through significant challenges, but continues to start each day anew, communicate expectations, and positively reinforce behavior whenever possible.

2. Celine is one of the most hard-working people at Atlas. There isn't a task that she isn't willing to take on. She will get ice packs, comfort a kiddo or clean up any mess that is made. She is always on the go. She is in classrooms, in the cafeteria, outside duty, helping in specials, the younger grades, and the older grades. Literally, there is nowhere that she wouldn't help. She has such a huge heart and helps any student or staff member who looks like they might need help. She is tough when she is needed to be tough, and a big softy when she knows that is needed. We can count on her for anything. Atlas would not function as well as it does without her. We are so lucky to have her here.

3. Miss CC is invaluable to us at Atlas. She is patient, creative, understanding, and humorous. Even in a crisis, if she's ever feeling frustrated you'd never know; she exudes patience and grace. All of these qualities (and many more) not only endear Miss CC to students and staff but also make the school day productive and fun. She is so great at thinking on her feet and coming up with creative solutions to challenges. Students who are having a rough day know without a doubt that Miss CC will help turn the situation around. Thank you, Miss CC, for all the love and energy you pour into our school!

What a fun way to celebrate students at the end of another week! Students can earn 3 Bee Cards throughout the week by being responsible for their actions, respectful of others, and being safe. Students write their names on their 3 Bee Cards and are entered into a weekly drawing. Names that are drawn earn a small prize. It is the highlight of the week to celebrate students while reinforcing expectations. Way to go, Atlas Explorers!

Congratulations to Hannah Hoy for being selected as the Atlas Classified Employee of the Month for September/October! She was nominated by Sara Grimm:

"Hannah has been an outstanding library aide for a couple of years, I’m so thankful she returns each year! She has an innate intuition of what needs to be accomplished and makes it happen, sometimes before I even formulate how and when I’ll be able to do it. Hannah completes many of the behind-the-scenes tasks, from keeping books on the return carts shelved to cataloging and processing new books. She’s quick to recognize when an individual student needs assistance, re-direction, or praise. Her friendliness and adeptness is evident as the students ask for her assistance as much as mine in the library. Hannah also spends time as a recess and lunch supervisor, never complaining about the cold temperatures outside, but bundles up with a smile. Hannah’s flexibility and teamwork attitude is reflected in her many roles at Atlas Elementary, this year adding classroom aide to her repertoire. In short, Hannah is deserving of Classified Employee of the Month for these reasons and more."
