Don’t misunderstand me…nature play 🌲 ā¤ļø is the heart of forest friends. But I TRULY believe we should invest in a young child’s absorbent mind and give them an environment that instills a love of all learning- indoors and out.
That’s why Forest Friends has an indoor class space, curriculum goals, some teacher led activities, and gently follows a phonics program through the school year. And boy do we learn a LOT, together! It is such a joy to teach this way.

Our Classroom Without Walls…learning outdoors has an immersive, hands on, and sensory rich quality that can’t be denied! That’s why we spend the first part of our days together outdoors. 🌲
