Denver Trip 2026: In the books! CHS Choirs competed at the Music in the Parks Festival over the weekend (alongside our fabulous Cody Bronc Band!) and brought home some hardware! All three CHS Choirs won first place in their respective divisions and earned Superior ratings across the board. Fun to see Broncs and Fillies making waves beyond Wyoming! To top it off, these students did an incredible job building community, showing up for one another, and acting with the utmost integrity. I couldn’t be more proud to coach this team! Thank you to everyone who supported the efforts of these students and made this experience possible. Ride for the Brand!

What an incredible week for our CHS Music department! In addition to some fantastic results, our students gained valuable coaching from seasoned adjudicators and heard wonderful performances from around the North Bighorn Basin! Congrats to all!

It was a great night of music-making for CHS Choirs! Thanks to all who came out to support these fantastic students as they prepare for District Music Performance Assessments. A special shoutout to Denise of Christ Episcopal Church for helping to host us and for providing some of these great pictures!

What an incredible day at NWC Jazz Festival! Our CHS Treble Choir and Synergy Vocal Ensemble did a fantastic job! We got to showcase the incredible effort that we’ve put in this semester and earn high marks along with it, we were able to hear and learn from other Jazz groups from around the state, glean from the experience of skilled vocal jazz adjudicators (including Grammy-nominated Michael Mayo!), and all-in-all enjoy spending time together as a team doing something we love. Well done, Bronc and Filly musicians! And a special ‘thank you’ to our friends at Northwest College for providing such a wonderful opportunity for our students!

At the beginning of February, we kicked off our Jazz season with five CHS Choir students in All-State Vocal Jazz Ensembles! Congrats to Jason A, Cami F, Jillian N, and Britain T. for your participation in the 2026 All-State Jazz Mixed Ensemble and congrats to freshman, McKinley G, on her participation in the first ever All-State Jazz Treble Ensemble! What an awesome performance and honor for these students - way to Ride for the Brand, Broncs and Fillies!

So. Much. Happening! Bronc and Filly musicians have been hard at work this last month - let’s catch you up! First out of the gate: WMEA All-State hosted right here in Cody! What a phenomenal experience for our students and an awesome opportunity for the North Bighorn Basin Educators and Cody families to bring their best to the table and help host the top high school musicians in the state of Wyoming! Thank you to all of you who jumped in to help! And a special ‘thank you’ to dr.jefferyredding for bringing such joy, excellence, and community to the stage as our guest clinician! Your investment in our students has left a lasting impact. Way to go, Bronc and Filly singers!
