A new year brings a new introduction- I’m Lauren, the face behind Love, M. I have been creating since the invention of Print Shop in the 80s and made it a career 20 years ago.

After my mom’s passing in 2011, I realized it was time to prioritize my joy along with my capacity and Love, M. was born. (More on that later).

Over the past 14 years I’ve developed an approachable strategy that makes thoughtful and refined design accessible to everyone from entrepreneurs and brides to parents and friends.

Walking into 2025 with a new appreciation for that original concept- will you join me?

Anyone else spend hours on “The Print Shop” for Windows back in the 90’s? No? Ok. Cool. Cool.

But seriously, I was doing this work before I even knew what this work was. Every holiday, every event, every project was designed and printed on perforated paper, carefully torn or cut and folded. It was my happy place and younger me would absolutely be making this face if she knew what I know now.

Alchemy is historically associated with a blend of art and science, often seen as a precursor to modern chemistry. Using alchemy style typography and markings symbolizes the fusion of artistic creativity and scientific precision, which is relevant for a salon that combines the artistry of hairstyling with the chemistry of hair color and hair care.

Reupholstering this chair was a true labor of love. Turns out I only saved about $30 but the 6 weeks of memories are priceless…🤪😩🫤

🌸🌿 Infused with retro vibes, this design captures the essence of preserving memories in florals. Just like cherished moments live in the corners of our minds, this logo encapsulates the artistry and nostalgia of floral preservation.

While this design wasn't selected as the clients final logo, it's important to showcase the creative process.

Watercolor and torn edges are my love language.

One of my favorite things to do as a custom designer is create elements that are unique to the client. This gorgeous bride’s invitations were heavily inspired by the back of her wedding gown! A simple touch that yielded sentimental results. Oh, and did I mention they’re printed on real wood? A nod to the tree farm where they said, “I do.” . Photos by Katheryn Jeanne Photography

Being featured in 2014 Stationery Trends Magazine is a highlight for me. This invitation suite was such a labor of love- mixed paper, printing on fabric, glue and hand stitching…it felt like 75 individual pieces of art!
