Indy Mini Marathon is easily one of Woody's favorite races! Woody had the best time! He loved going fast around the race track and he got to "kiss the bricks" for a second time! We were SO lucky to have Chris Brinkley, Tiffany Lockhart from Ainsley's Angels in Oklahoma & Jen Feterick from Ainsley's Angels in Indiana join us! Woody had an absolute blast with them! Chris and Woody sped down the stretch on the track, Chris and other volunteers got Woody down to the ground (and back up again!) to kiss the bricks. Just an amazing time - Thank you to both for an amazing day!! Can't wait to run with you all again!

Woody’s famous!
RunDisney asked a while ago if they could use a photo of Woody Michaux and Bob Raichle. They even gave Woody a $25 gift card!
Bob found the photo at the expo! How cool is that? Hopefully it won’t go to Woody’s head - the minor celebrity that he is! 😂

Woody Michaux made the local news!!
LOCAL | Dozens of runners lined the shore of the Mississippi Sound on Wednesday as part of Mainly Marathons, a national running series that hosts races in all 50 states.
The organization draws a community of athletes who return not only for races, but for each other.
“It’s kind of like a family reunion every time we get together,” said Daniel Rueckert, director of Mainly Marathons.

Day 3 of Gulf Coast Series - Gulfport, Mississippi - a new state for both of us!! Gorgeous course along the shore and really nice weather!
We ended up missing day 2 because we stayed an extra night in Texas to avoid driving the motorhome in high winds. Luckily we already had Louisiana!
Also Woody was interviewed for a local TV station although I haven’t seen it yet!

Day 1 of a 10 day/10 state series with Mainly Marathons in Beaumont TX! It was so much fun to see all of our Mainly friends!!
More than a little windy! Woody was super stiff and sitting very sideways from spasms that get worse when it’s cold. It felt cold and we battled 30 mph winds with gusts to 40 mph. 🤪
I asked Woody many times during the race if he wanted to cut it short because he was so stiff and spasm-y and he repeatedly chose to stay and finish. He is one tough cookie! That being said, I’m a chicken to drive our motorhome in high winds so we’re waiting the weather out at the campground in Beaumont and I’m not sure we’re going to make tomorrow’s race in Louisiana. Fingers crossed!!

Fireball & Fist Bumps aka Team Woody rolled at Gasparilla Half Marathon in Tampa FL this morning! We joined a brand new chapter of Ainsley's Angels in Florida for the race.
Woody loved the race and all the fist bumps. Pretty nice weather although it was warm & super humid - it definitely could have been worse! The race had amazing course support, great swag, & the course was nice and flat! We would do it again!

Team Woody at Run Disney - Half Marathon this weekend! You can tell how much Woody enjoyed it! That smile makes getting up at 1 am worth it! 🤪😂
Thanks to Gregory Daniel from Rise and Run Podcast who caught up with us to join Team Woody. Woody had so much fun and the miles flew by! Woody got so many fist bumps! We had great weather too although it was a little warm by the end. And we got to see Bob Raichle on Main Street - a highlight for Woody!!

Space Coast Half Marathon!! One of our favorite races! Woody had SO much fun! Huge thank you to Bob Raichle and Kathy Fleming for helping push Woody and making it such a fun race! Thanks to all the Rise and Run Podcast friends who also made it a fun race!!
Funny Woody story - after we picked up his bib, the woman working the race shirt table looked up at Woody and said “see you at the Fireball stop!” 😂 She remembered him from last year and it totally made Woody’s day!
