Closter Lions Club "We Serve"
The Closter Lions Club received its charter on June 10, 1939.
Its founding members were 21 in number -- merchants and businessmen dedicated to service. Over the course of 62 years, the Closter Lions Club has undertaken many building projects to benefit the Borough of Closter, sponsored various youth organizations, provided college scholarship money for deserving Closter youth, and assisted individuals in need. They have also supported projects for the blind and mentally handicapped.
