Say hey to Josue Funes-Morales, a rising junior from Greenville, S.C.! 👋

Josue is majoring in chemistry with double minors in history and religion. He says he chose PC because of the community he experienced the moment he stepped on campus. 💙

Here's a little more from Josue about what his experience has been like as a PC student:

"One of the moments that told me I'm where I need to be was when Dr. Tatebe (chemistry professor) took the time to talk with me after class during a tough time in my life. That kind of support made all the difference and helped me get through it."

What else has surprised Josue about PC?

"How involved you could become in such a short period of time. Not only just involved but be able to obtain leadership positions as well."

Are you still deciding where to go to college? Josue has these words of advice for you:

"Pick PC! You won't find a faculty and staff that care for you more than here at PC."

Say hello to Michael Cody, from Anderson, South Carolina! 👋

Michael chose PC because it felt like the perfect environment to grow—not just as a student, but as a person. For Michael, PC is a place where you can step out of your comfort zone and truly find yourself.

A Star Moment 🎤
When did Michael know he was exactly where he belonged? It was during his sophomore year at Big Man on Campus. He was singing and dancing to ’s "Bye Bye Bye" while the entire crowd waved their flashlights in unison. That sense of connection and fun is what the PC spirit is all about!

A Supportive Family 🤝
What surprised Michael the most was the overwhelming support within campus organizations. As a Student Ambassador, he found more than just a club—he found a family that supports him every day.

Advice for the Class of 2030 🎓
If you're still deciding where to go to college, Michael has some words of wisdom:

Don't let fear limit you. It’s normal to be worried, but the best growth happens when you say "yes."

Say "yes" to PC and embrace the new when you're here. "Whether it’s an event, a new person, or a unique opportunity, jump in!

"You’re never alone. At PC, even when you’re pushing your boundaries, you have a community behind you."

Mo was looking for a college experience that felt personal. She wanted an environment where she could truly be known, and she found exactly that at PC!

The "Aha" Moment 📍
The transition to college can be a big leap. But for Mo, the first semester was a gamechanger. She realized early on just how supportive the people here truly are. Making the move to campus felt smooth and confirmed that she had found her second home.

Freshman Impact 🌟
What caught Mo by surprise? The sheer level of involvement on campus! She’s discovered that at PC, you don’t have to wait until you’re an upperclassman to lead. Whether it’s joining a new club or taking on a leadership role, there are endless ways to make an impact from day one.

Mo’s Advice for You 🎓
If you’re currently on the fence about your college decision, Mo suggests looking for a place that balances two things:

Say hey to freshman Biophysics major Andrew Piotrowski! 👋

Coming all the way from Florence, New Jersey, Andrew knew he wanted a college that felt like home. While some schools might make you feel like just another applicant, Andrew found that PC actually makes you feel wanted. Andrew said the "tight-knit" community and refreshing energy truly set PC apart.

Finding His Place 📍
When did Andrew know PC was the right place? Fraternity Bid Day. He said getting swarmed by his new Sigma Nu brothers in celebration made it clear: "PC isn't just a campus, it’s a family."

Small School, Big Opportunities 🌎
Andrew has been blown away by the "seemingly endless" ways to get involved. He is a prime example of a student doing it all:

✅ The Arts: Lead in the spring musical & member of the PC Choir

✅ Greek Life: Brother of Sigma Nu

✅ Athletics: PC Club Golf Team

✅ Academics: Society of Physics Students

✅ On campus: Member of the Presby Rockers

A Message to Future Students 🎓
For those still on the fence about their college choice, Andrew’s advice is simple: "The place you choose now sets the trajectory for your life. At PC, you get the perfect mix of big-school opportunities and small-school charm."

Hi everyone, say hello to freshman Rollin Cartee! 👋

For Rollin, PC has always been in the family, but she found her own perfect fit right here on campus! From growing up at PC games to finding her "home away from home," Rollin’s journey is all about the Blue Hose community. 💙

Here’s why she’s loving the PC life:

Instant Connections: During orientation week, Rollin met the girls who are now her closest friends. That "meant to be" feeling is real!

Professor Goals: Rollin was surprised by just how kind and inviting her professors are. Whether it’s help with an assignment or just a quick chat, they’ve always got her back.

Built-in Support: Moving to college is a big jump, but Rollin says the PC community made the transition easy.

Her best advice for high schoolers and potential transfer students on the fence? "Pick the school where you feel the most comfortable." For Rollin, that was PC! 🏛️️
