PRESS RELEASE - What a incredible success the Hendry County XC Showoff turned out to be! Every single athlete across Hendry County—including our talented runners from West Glades School—showed up, dug deep, and competed with incredible heart in this preseason classic. There is nothing quite like a local run celebrating our local kids.

An event like this takes a village, and we are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who helped make it happen. We hope we haven't missed anyone—your support means the world to our runners!

Our CHS XC runners have been crushing their summer workouts and putting in the work all season long—now it’s our turn to show up for them!

We need awesome volunteers to join the action this Saturday, 8/15 @6:50 a.m. We’re looking for high-energy supporters to:

1. Cheer & Guide: Hold down a key spot on the course to keep our runners on track and motivated.

2. Hydration Heroes: Hand out ice-cold water and celebrate our runners as they cross the finish line!

CHS XC is absolutely thrilled to host the ultimate preseason kickoff, bringing together Hendry County’s finest athletes for an adrenaline-fueled morning of speed, grit, and school pride. Whether you are running, cheering, or representing your community, this is the energetic jumpstart to the season you cannot miss!

We are uniting the entire Hendry County cross-country family under one sky! Watch runners from these local powerhouse programs push their limits:
* CHS & CMS
* LHS & LMS
* CCS & HACS

📍 Catch the Action
We’ve set up prime viewing spots so you won’t miss a single second of the drama:
* The Start: Feel the energy as the pack explodes off the line at the CHS Gymnasium.
* The Finish: Bring the thunder and cheer them across the line at the On-Campus Field House!
