Get To School. You Can Make It When students miss school, it’s hard to come back. Having your student in class everyday improves their chances for success, and makes a better place.

Regular attendance may seem obvious for academic success, but unfortunately in Cleveland we have a serious problem – chronic absenteeism. Missing more than 10 days of school in a year has a devastating effect on our students and their future. It can cut the chances of high school graduation for 9th and 10th graders by 34% and reduce reading and math scores by 12% and 15% respectively. The Get To School. You Can Make It! campaign is an attendance campaign aimed at reducing the number of Cleveland's kid's missing more than 10 days of school in a year! campaign is calling upon the community to help us get more students to school. Now that the Cleveland Plan has been implemented, getting our kids to school is the single most important thing we can do to improve their futures. Substantially cutting the 10 day a year absence barrier will significantly increase graduation rates, test scores and student success. We can improve students’ lives if they get to school, but getting them to school takes a community-wide effort.
