Church of the Gesu

As our teachers prepare to welcome students back, we're highlighting some familiar faces from classrooms through the years. Thank you to the educators who have made Gesu a place of learning, faith, and community for generations.

Last week, Church of the Gesu was honored to host the Diocese of Cleveland’s Level I Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Training. Throughout the week, catechists from parishes across the diocese gathered to pray, learn, and prepare to serve young children through this beautiful ministry. They also spent time crafting the hands-on materials that help bring Scripture and the liturgy to life in the atrium.

We are grateful to have welcomed these dedicated catechists to our campus and pray for the children whose faith they will help nurture.

Today we celebrate the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits and an inspiration to our Gesu community. May we follow his example by seeking God in all things and serving others with generous hearts.

Join fellow Gesu parishioners, school families, alumni, and friends as we celebrate Gesu’s Centennial Year at Progressive Field on Sunday, August 2. The Cleveland Guardians will be taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks with the first pitch at 1:40 pm. Stick around after the game when children are invited to run the bases as part of the Guardians’ Kids Fun Day.
