What an immersive experience our 7th & 8th graders had at Niagara Falls! 🌊✨
From exploring the Power Vista, to riding the boat through the breathtaking falls, and ending the day enjoying lunch at Rainforest Cafe 🛥️⚡🌿 — this trip was filled with unforgettable memories, learning, laughter, and adventure.
Experiences like these bring learning to life and create moments our scholars will never forget! 💙

Our students enjoyed yoga, guided meditation, fresh fruit tastings, and hands-on learning with a nurse who demonstrated how to use an AED machine. It was truly a day filled with learning, positivity, and both mental and physical wellness. 🌱✨
We would also like to give a special thank you to our middle school science teacher, Mrs.Seal, for all of her efforts in making sure the day ran smoothly and successfully. Your dedication made this experience truly meaningful for our students! 👏💐

Our 8th grade class hit the ground running in D.C.—from the monuments to the museums, honoring history and ending with the powerful Changing of the Guard at Arlington… this trip was everything and more.
They showed up, showed out, and represented with excellence every step of the way. 💙 So proud of their curiosity, respect, and joy throughout the entire experience.

We hit the ground running on our Washington, D.C. 8th grade trip! 🇺🇸 From the moment we arrived, our students were immersed in history—exploring the monuments, taking in the powerful views at the MLK and Lincoln Memorials, and walking the National Mall. We enjoyed lunch at the Reagan International Building before wrapping up an unforgettable first day.
Day 2 was just as exciting! We started early and packed in as many museums as possible, including the Natural History Museum, the African American Museum, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. A special highlight was visiting the FDR Memorial—our school’s namesake! We kept our energy up with great meals and time together to reflect on the day.
On our final day, we visited Arlington National Cemetery, where we walked the beautiful grounds and witnessed the powerful Changing of the Guard ceremony.
This 8th grade trip was truly unforgettable. Our students not only learned so much, but they represented our school with excellence—they were respectful, engaged, and incredibly well-behaved. So proud of this group! 💙✨

We’ve been on the move these last 30 days at FDR! ✨ From exciting field trips and engaging classroom visits to celebrating 100 days of school and an unforgettable Spirit Week in honor of Dr. Seuss—our students have been learning, growing, and having FUN every step of the way.
We’ve danced with classrooms, cheered on an amazing culmination performance, and just this week… even welcomed a special visit from the Easter Bunny 🐰💐
