Summer at Laurel

Crafty Campers turned up the bubbles at today’s foam party! These girls are making summer unforgettable one sudsy splash at a time! 🫧🫧.

On our final day of Laurel’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, we countered the effects of dementors with chocolate frogs, had a wizards duel, went on a horcrux hunt, and finished up with homemade butter beer! We solemnly swear we were up to lots of fun this week!

Mischief managed! In Charms class today we practiced lots of different spells and then put Engorgio into real world practice. In Transfiguration class we used stop motion animation to change animals into water goblets. In Astronomy class we learned about constellations and made our own star charts.

Today was filled with Wizarding challenges and magical creatures. We completed several challenges to Escape from Azkaban, including decoding challenges and arithmancy. We tested our Harry Potter knowledge in a trivia challenge and played Portkeys & Broomsticks. A firm favorite activity today was creating magical creatures on paper and then feeding the characteristics into Gemini AI to bring the creatures to life.

Day 2 of Laurel’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was full of magical creatures with a visit from a petting zoo. We also had Herbology class, a scavenger hunt all over the building, and a trip to “The Three Broomsticks” for butterbeer. A big shout out to Biggby Coffee () for taking such good care of our young witches and wizards!

Our campers from the All Dolled Up camp had the best day visiting the Western Reserve Historical Society’s All Dolled Up Exhibit! From vintage fashion to doll history—and even a special photo op on the carousel featuring the very first Laurel School—they soaked it all in with style and smiles! 💃🎠📸
