NASA granted a contract to STEM Accelerated Coding to develop geospatial, 3D modeling, and coding modules. This manual provides NASA content and examples of ways to integrate it with STEAM PBL through ArcGIS, Sketch-Up/TinkerCAD, or Scratch programming.

Lori Schleuter, a teacher at St. Ambrose School in Brunswick, recently gave a presentation at the Esri (GIS mapping software) User Conference in San Diego. St. Ambrose is one of the few schools in the country to teach ArcGIS in grades K-8, and will also begin teaching College Credit Plus GIS classes to its junior high students this fall.

Mrs. Schlueter is presenting "The Homeless Mission Operator App: Helping Those In Need" at the ESRI Educational and User Conferences this week. 15,000 guests are attending the events with representation from 45 countries. This is the largest GIS event in the world!

We had an FBI supervisory agent visit us today that presented a cipher criminal case. He also explained FBI careers and requirements to become an agent!

AND...Mrs. Schlueter taught 8th grade students how to code a Caesar Cipher during our cryptography lab!
