Calling all McCormick Middle Schoolers! Your first ever Meet and Greet is Tuesday September 22nd! You get to meet your new directors, get the 411 on all the upcoming rehearsals, and of course play some drama games! Parents are welcome but not mandatory, there will be a Mandatory Parent Meeting September 28 @ 6 at the Patricia Lindley Center please stay tuned for that future post! Hope to see you all there!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!!!!

Emily Fisher (she/her) is so excited to be joining the Wellington Theater team as the new director/adviser for McCormick! A 2017 graduate of Amherst-Steele High School and a lifelong theater kid at heart, over the last eight years Emily has been on the production staff for the Lorain High School drama club, Sandstone Summer Theatre, and MAD* Factory Theatre Co. Her special interest is costumes, props, and set design, but she also loves performing and directing. She can't wait to bring her love for both theatre and encouraging students of all ages to Wellington!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!!

Alex Craig joins Wellington High School as the new Drama Advisor & Director, bringing 15 years of directing experience and 24 years of performing experience to the program. Over the years, Alex has worked with a variety of theatre and school programs, including Lorain County Children’s Pioneer Theatre, TrueNorth Cultural Arts, Olde Towne Hall Theatre, Northwood Middle School, Eastern Heights Middle School, and North Ridgeville High School.
Some of Alex’s favorite directing credits include The SpongeBob Musical and Mary Poppins with Lorain County Children’s Pioneer Theatre, as well as Moana Jr. at Eastern Heights Middle School. Favorite acting credits include William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, the Voice of the Plant in Little Shop of Horrors, and Emmett in Legally Blonde. Alex was also honored as the Broadway World Cleveland Performer of the Decade in 2020.
Outside of the classroom and rehearsal hall, Alex enjoys sharing a love of theatre through the podcast "I Can’t, I Have This Podcast" and bringing people together as a karaoke host. Alex is excited to join the Wellington High School community and looks forward to inspiring students, building confidence, and creating memorable theatre experiences together.
