Middle School Girls Are Carrying So Much — And They Need Us More Than Ever
I work with a counselor at a middle school, and every day I’m reminded just how much our young girls are navigating. This stage of life is beautiful, but it’s also incredibly confusing.
Many of them are struggling with:
Understanding who they are
Low self‑esteem and constant comparison
Setting healthy boundaries in friendships
Feeling pressure to “fit in” instead of being true to themselves.
If your daughter seems overwhelmed, withdrawn, emotional, or unsure of herself, she’s not alone. These challenges are developmentally normal, but they can feel huge to a middle schooler who’s still figuring out her place in the world.
Here’s how you can help her feel grounded and supported:
*Listen without fixing. Sometimes she just needs a safe place to land.
*Name her strengths out loud. She may not see what you see.
*Talk about boundaries as a form of self‑respect. Not punishment, not drama — just healthy limits.
*Model self‑kindness. She’s watching how you treat yourself.
*Remind her that identity is a journey. She doesn’t have to have it all figured out.
Middle school can shake a girl’s confidence, but it can also be a time when she learns resilience, self‑worth, and the power of being authentically herself — especially when she has adults who show up with patience and understanding.
If you ever feel unsure about how to connect with your teen, you’re in good company. We’re all learning alongside them. And they really do need us — even when they act like they don’t.
Share your perspective or experience with the group. We could learn and help one another.

Abuse often hides behind manipulation—not obvious violence.
I wrote an e-book entitled, Girl, Run. I educate the reader on the top 3 ways men control and manipulate their victim so survivors and allies can name it, understand it, and break free from it.

Hey Friend!
I was scrolling through my gallery of photos and quotes tonight, and I can across quote I had posted come time ago.
"Always be a first‑rate version of yourself instead of a second‑rate version of somebody else." — Judy Garland.
Now we know Judy Garland’s brilliance wasn’t defined solely by her extraordinary voice or her unforgettable role as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. What made her truly legendary was her refusal to shrink herself
into the narrow mold Hollywood tried to force upon her. She carried a rare authenticity—raw, luminous, and deeply human. She was gifted, yet grounded. A star, yet unmistakably herself.
We can all learn a quiet yet powerful lesson from Judy Garland and this famous quote. She showed the world that greatness isn’t found in imitation—it’s found in the courage to stand fully in your own identity.
Yeeeessss, and as you have heard me say "Own your own power", even when the world or people push you to be something else.
This message is a reminder for all of us:
✨ Your originality is your superpower.
✨ Your truth is your strength.
✨ Your story matters because no one else can live it.
When you choose to be a first‑rate version of yourself, you don’t just shine—you inspire others to do the same.
I know there have been times in My Life, that I have NOT been true to myself and found myself in situations that were truly unfavorable to me. Why? Because I did not have the strength to speak my truth and say NO,
I went along with something, just to keep the drama down. I talk my experience and share valuable info and activities in my workbook - Believe In Yourself. You can find it on my website: http://www.bossgirlsbelief.com/shop
I would love to get your take on this. Use this platform as an opportunity to be your original self, to share your story, because it does matter. Until then...be empowered!

POLICE WARNING!! Police Warning Ladies: If you are a female, take heed! If you are male and have a significant female in your life who you care about, whether it's your wife, your girlfriend, your daughter, your sister, your niece, your cousin, your next door neighbor; whomever.......pass this along! Always better to be safe than sorry!
A man came over and offered his services as a painter to a female putting gas in her car and left his card. She said no, but accepted his card out of courtesy and got in her car. The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman.
As the lady left the service station, she saw the men following her out of the station at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that the odor was on her hand; the same hand which accepted the card from the gentleman at the gas station.
She then noticed the men were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway and began to honk her horn repeatedly to ask for help. The men drove away but the lady still felt pretty bad for several minutes after she could finally catch her breath. Apparently, there was a substance on the card that could have seriously injured her.
This drug is called 'BURUNDANGA' and it is used by people who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal from or take advantage of them. This drug is four times more dangerous than the date r**e drug and is transferable on simple cards.
So take heed and make sure you don't accept cards at any given time you are alone or from someone on the streets. This applies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services.
