I truly enjoy using my gifts to empower others especially the young men in our program. There aren’t many places where your child can receive free interview and media training, but that’s one of the unique benefits we proudly offer.

With over 20 years of experience in media, public relations, and public speaking, I use my skills to help our young men grow into confident, powerful communicators. Watching them develop into strong public speakers brings me so much joy and I offer this training at absolutely no cost.

1,000 Ties to Greatness Tour is an impactful community-centered event designed to bridge the gap between scholars and local leaders, professionals, and role
models. This tour builds meaningful partnerships while giving community members the opportunity to pour into the next generation. Our young men need to know they have a village around them and this event shows them just that.

Known for its hands-on activities, high energy, and fun atmosphere, the tour offers youth a chance to learn life skills, build confidence, and connect with their community in a powerful way.

Our keynote speaker,
Trayvon Porter a nationally rated chess player and dynamic youth speaker uses his relatable approach to teach life lessons and social-emotional skills that resonate with young minds. Joining him is our CEO,
Jowan Smith an award-winning author and nationally recognized speaker who brings unmatched energy, love, and a wealth of knowledge to every audience.

The tour also includes a special literacy experience for K–5th grade scholars, where Jowan reads her award-winning books followed by an engaging Q&A session. Families are encouraged to attend, making this event a celebration of community, leadership, and literacy for all ages.
