Rocky Mount Church of God is excited to welcome Ms. Danielle Peyton as the newest member of our leadership team. Upon her graduation from Lee University this fall, Danielle will serve our congregation as our new Worship Pastor. She is currently in the process of completing a four-year, Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Worship. Danielle is a relationally-driven leader committed to a "person over performance" ministry model. During her time at Lee, she has served in several leadership and ministry roles including three years with the Evangelistic Singers. Danielle said, "I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to join the staff here at Rocky Mount Church of God! I can’t wait to serve alongside this wonderful church family and see all that God has in store for our worship ministry.”

We're proud to announce that Lee University has been named a 2026-2027 College of Distinction.🥇

This recognition honors institutions that provide students with an exceptional undergraduate experience through engaged learning and opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. At Lee, students participate in undergraduate research, global and service-learning experiences, internships, and collaborative coursework, all while being supported by faculty mentorship and a Christ-centered campus community.

Along with this recognition, Lee has also been named a Tennessee College of Distinction, a Christian College of Distinction, and a College of Distinction in business, education, and nursing. We are grateful to our faculty and staff, who make Lee a place where students are challenged academically, supported personally, and prepared to lead and serve with purpose.

Congratulations to our May 2026 LeeU Music & Worship graduate, Cara Cooper, on beginning her new role at Two Rivers Church in Knoxville! We’re excited to see how God will use her gifts in this new season of ministry. Join us in praying for and celebrating Cara as she starts this exciting new chapter.
