As part of The Prototype Initiative, B’nai Jeshurun is introducing CAMP SABABA, an innovative approach to Jewish education that lives in the “in-between” moments of the year.

This immersive, camp-style experience offers:

Kol HaLev, Cleveland's Reconstructionist Jewish Community's CONNECTIONS offers a new kind of Jewish learning experience - one that adapts to the realities of families schedules.

Families can choose from:
📚 Three six-week sessions (fall, winter, spring)
🎯 The option to enroll in one, two, or all sessions
🏠 Hands-on learning in homes and community spaces

Changemakers: Social Action Adventures, powered by Mandel JCC’s Camp Wise, is a cohort-based program for students in grades 6–8 who want to make friends, give back, and explore how Jewish values shape the world around us.

Mitsui Collective's Abracadabra School of Practical Magic is an immersive afterschool program for students in grades 2–4 that brings Jewish learning to life through creativity and movement.

The Jewish Education Center of Cleveland is proud to launch The Prototype Initiative - a bold, community-centered effort designed to explore new approaches to Jewish learning and engagement for today’s families.

As family schedules, expectations and pathways into Jewish life continue to evolve, this moment presents an opportunity to further strengthen and expand part-time Jewish education for today’s learners. Through this initiative, we are supporting innovative programs that prioritize connection, belonging, growth and community.

While each prototype is unique, they all share a common goal: creating Jewish learning experiences that meet families where they are and inspire them to engage in new and meaningful ways.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be featuring the six inaugural programs bringing this vision to life. Stay tuned - this is just the beginning!
