Kol HaLev, Cleveland's Reconstructionist Jewish Community's CONNECTIONS offers a new kind of Jewish learning experience - one that adapts to the realities of families schedules.

Families can choose from:
📚 Three six-week sessions (fall, winter, spring)
🎯 The option to enroll in one, two, or all sessions
🏠 Hands-on learning in homes and community spaces

Each session is built around a central theme and includes opportunities for both student and family engagement. Plus, a “to-go” option ensures no one misses out.

🌍 Turning values into action.

Changemakers: Social Action Adventures, powered by Mandel JCC’s Camp Wise, is a cohort-based program for students in grades 6–8 who want to make friends, give back, and explore how Jewish values shape the world around us.

Participants will:
🤝 Engage in hands-on service and social action
📖 Explore Jewish values through lived experiences
🌱 Build leadership and a sense of responsibility to their communities

Designed especially for families across the Cleveland Metropolitan Area, this program creates opportunities for connection, purpose and growth.

Learning that engages the whole self - mind, body, and soul.

Mitsui Collective's Abracadabra School of Practical Magic is an immersive afterschool program for students in grades 2–4 that brings Jewish learning to life through creativity and movement.

Through experiences like:

✍️ Scribing and Calligraphy

Students explore Jewish wisdom and cultural traditions in ways that are playful, embodied and deeply meaningful.

As family schedules, expectations and pathways into Jewish life continue to evolve, this moment presents an opportunity to further strengthen and expand part-time Jewish education for today’s learners. Through this initiative, we are supporting innovative programs that prioritize connection, belonging, growth and community.

While each prototype is unique, they all share a common goal: creating Jewish learning experiences that meet families where they are and inspire them to engage in new and meaningful ways.
