Cleveland Schools hosted a CPR training event today to prepare staff for responding to cardiac emergencies.

CSD Nurses teamed up with Dr. Nina Ragu and Dr. Braveen Ragu to facilitate a Health Professions Fair for CCHS and CCMS students, featuring a range of health careers. Delta Health Center (physicians, social work), Exceed Therapy (physical therapy, occupational therapy, therapy tech), Bolivar Medical Center, Delta State University (school of nursing, speech and language pathologist, social work), Cardiovascular Solutions, North Sunflower Medical Center, and Commerce Pharmacy (pharmacist, respiratory therapist, pharmacy tech) took part. Students appreciated the opportunity to engage with each representative.

Parks Elementary’s wellness committee hosted a representative from Active Health with BCBS of MS for Heart Health Month! All of the staff enjoyed a yogurt bar and healthy heart information.

Coach Calhoun with Move to Learn visited Parks Elementary and Hayes Cooper this week!
Move to Learn is designed to help teachers raise student fitness levels and, in turn, raise student achievement.
