Trinity High School is proud to welcome seven seniors to the internship program who each transferred to Trinity in the last year or two and missed Internship orientation as underclassmen. They spent this week working with Internship Director Mrs. Dottore at “Internship Boot Camp”. They learned about the nuts and bolts of internship, were trained in Virtus, did career searches, prepared resumes, listened to speakers from the field, and participated in mock interviews. Mrs. Dottore is proud of all of them and knows they will be wonderful interns this year!

As the gentle waves of Pymatuning stretched out before us and God’s magnificent creation surrounded us, our Trinity High School family gathered arm in arm for one of the most meaningful moments of our Adult Ministry Retreat.

Led by Mr. Bagley, our administration, Campus Minister, and theology teachers as well as a few other teachers paused from planning to do what matters most, pray.

Before a single student walks through our doors, before the first lesson is taught, before the first retreat begins, we entrust this school year to God.

Together, we prayed for the hearts of our students, for the wisdom to guide them, for the strength to meet them where they are, and for the grace to help each young person encounter Christ in a real and lasting way.

As we continue reflecting and planning our one-of-a-kind retreat program and ministry experiences, we are reminded that our work is so much more than education. It is a calling. It is a ministry. It is a commitment to walking alongside our students as they grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

In moments like these, together in prayer with the beauty of God’s creation surrounding us, we are reminded why Trinity High School is proudly a God-centered community.

Every conversation, every plan, every retreat, and every prayer is offered with one purpose: helping our students discover the incredible love of God and the unique purpose He has for each of their lives.

Please continue to keep our faculty, staff, and especially our students in your prayers as we prepare to welcome them home for another year of faith, learning, and transformation.

Before returning to the peaceful shores of Pymatuning to continue our annual Adult Ministry Retreat, our team was blessed to begin the day with breakfast at Countryside Family Restaurant.

For years, Denise has welcomed our ever-growing Trinity family with incredible warmth, kindness, and hospitality, making us feel right at home each time we visit.

Last year, as a small token of our appreciation, we presented Denise with a Trinity High School shirt. Imagine our surprise and gratitude when she greeted us this morning proudly wearing it! Moments like these remind us that the relationships we build extend far beyond our campus and into the communities that support our mission.

As we return to Pymatuning, our entire administrative team, Campus Minister, theology faculty, and several dedicated teachers continued our time of prayer, reflection, and deep philosophical discussion as we prepare to spiritually lead our students throughout the coming school year.

Together, we are thoughtfully planning every aspect of our ministry programming and once again diving deeply into Trinity High School’s one-of-a-kind, life-changing retreat program, an experience that has transformed countless lives by helping students encounter God’s love in a powerful and personal way.

We are incredibly grateful to Denise and the entire staff at Countryside Family Restaurant for their continued hospitality and support of our ministry. Please keep our team in your prayers as we continue this important work and prepare to share the love of Christ with our students throughout the year.

Let's give a warm welcome to Mr. Bruce Saban as he introduces himself:

My name is Bruce Saban and I am coming from the Parma City School District. I love teaching history and have been in education for over 30 years. I also love to travel and have been on two trips to Europe that focused on World War 2 History. I also love Disney and Universal Studios.

My wife is Kristin Saban and we have been married for 29 years. We have a son named Logan who will be starting his second year at Ohio University. He is studying Mechanical Engineering. I also love coaching football and am very excited to be joining the Trinity Family

After working side-by-side to prepare dinner, it was time to gather around the table and enjoy the fruits their labor together.

There is something truly special about sharing a meal in the great outdoors, surrounded by God’s magnificent creation.

As the sun settled over the landscape and conversations filled the air, our Adult Ministry Retreat participants were reminded that some of life’s greatest blessings are found in the simplest moments, breaking bread together, building meaningful relationships, and experiencing the peace that can only be found in His presence.

Away from the distractions of everyday life, nature provides the perfect backdrop to slow down, reflect, and draw closer to God. It is in these quiet moments of fellowship, gratitude, and awe of His creation that faith is strengthened and hearts are renewed.

As the final days of summer break begin to slip away, all of our administrative leaders, our theology teachers and a few other faculty and staff members at Trinity High School have chosen to spend this precious time on our Adult Ministry Retreat, investing not in themselves, but in the spiritual lives of our students.

Tonight, they gathered around the camp fire for a simple meal, sharing faith, fellowship, laughter, and meaningful conversation. It was a beautiful reminder that before we can lead our students closer to Christ through our one of a kind, life-changing retreat program, we must first continue growing in our own faith.

Tomorrow, they will dive even deeper into prayer, reflection, and formation, seeking God’s guidance as we prepare for another school year and another year of retreats adding to our 40 year retreat legacy.. We are grateful for educators who answer the call to serve with both their hearts and their faith, ensuring that every student who walks through Trinity’s doors is supported not only academically, but spiritually.

Please keep our retreat team in your prayers as we continue this journey together. May God bless this time of renewal and prepare us to be faithful witnesses to our students in the year ahead. 💙🙏 #

Meet the second of our new teachers, Mr. Alex Flauto!

Alex Flauto is joining Trinity this year as the Information Technology teacher.

He graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Cybersecurity and enjoys helping students learn how technology can be used to solve problems.

Outside the classroom, Alex enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and visiting National Parks. He is also a multi-instrument musician who writes and records his own music.

Alex is always exploring new ideas and skills, and he looks forward to bringing that curiosity into the classroom while helping Trinity students discover new interests through technology.

Trinity High School welcomes FOUR new staff members this year! Welcome to Mr. Tom Urig!

Mr. Urig is joining the History department at Trinity High School. He started his teaching career in 2018 for the Gaston County Schools teaching American History I & II at Hunter Huss High for one school year before being transferred to Ashbrook High both in Gastonia, NC where he also taught civics & econ and law and related studies.

After the 2020-21 school year, he was the building and long-term English 11 substitute at Constellation Schools: Parma Community High School. He finished the school year as a long-term world history substitute teacher at Holy Name. Since 2022, he had been a full-time social studies teacher at Constellation Schools: Parma Community High School where he taught world history, American history, geography, psychology, and introduced and taught African American history.

He also brings coaching experience and acting to Trinity. While at Ashbrook, he was the football and boys' basketball staffs, and coached baseball for two seasons at Avon Lake High School. He also made an acting appearance as Mr. Herron & Mr. Buck for Pama Community's production for Mean Girls.

Mr. Urig is a native of Avon Lake and graduated from ALHS in 1997. After high school, he enrolled at Lorain County Community College where he earned his associates of arts degree in 2002, & he started working full-time for United Garage Door in Cleveland.

He and his wife have been married since 2005 and have 5 nieces and 3 nephews. The couple moved from their home in Cleveland to Charlotte, NC 2008 where he found work in accounting, outside sales, and customer service before he enrolled in Belmont Abbey College's adult degree program in 2014. He earned his bachelor's degree in history in 2016.

After two school years as a substitute, he returned to Belmont Abbey College to take the education courses he needed for his teaching license in North Carolina.

Mr. Urig is a sports fan, enjoys playing golf, and attending after school activities. He is looking forward to growing in both his profession and in his faith during his time at Trinity High School.

Fourteen Trinity students completed immersive summer internships at The Cleveland Clinic with graduation yesterday.

They were chosen from over 1,000 applicants to work full-time on real world projects in areas such as surgery, dialysis, architecture, and sterile processing.

Each participant presented their projects at a reception at The Rooftop Terrace of The Cleveland Clinic yesterday. They shared their work with pride and spoke of being excited about what the future holds for each of them.
