Provocation & Conquest
"Truths usher from my pen like lies from the Bible,"
In a realm where shadows of might, twist justice's fable,
Where once we sought peace, now only survival,
In a world ablaze, truth becomes a mere label.
Evil, a subjective beast, in self-righteous guise,
Mistaking self-interest for justice, in the world's eyes,
The cries of the Palestinian, a distant, muted call,
Echoing in the void, against power's unyielding wall.
The US, a warmongering empire, in its grandeur stands,
Spending billions in pursuit of war's unyielding demands,
A professional force, needing war's crucible to stay keen,
In conflict and bloodshed, their true colors are seen.
Israel, a proxy, an extension of Western might,
A fortress of American power, in the Middle East's night,
Not just a nation, but a strategic military base,
In the global chess game, a crucial, pivotal place.
In the streets of Gaza, the story unfolds,
Of a people caught in a struggle, ancient and bold,
Their plight, a piece in a larger, darker game,
Where superpowers move pieces, without shame.
Avarice, not inspiration; gluttony, not wealth,
Empires expanding, conspicuous stealth,
Believing their power as justice, their creed as divine,
Other nations, other peoples, forced to the line.
Yet in the heart of conflict, a truth stands firm,
In the resilience of a people, in their long term,
Fighting not for conquest, but for a right to exist,
In a world where their narrative, constantly dismissed.
But remember this tale, of power and its play,
Of a world where the mighty, lead the fray,
For in every corner, in every tear shed,
Lies a story of resistance, of a future u***d.
And so the world watches, as the flames rise high,
In the struggle of Palestine, under the godless sky,
A reminder of the cost, of empire and its will,
In the heart of Gaza, the world burns still.
