LPGA-USGA Girl's Golf First Tee Central Ohio

Girls Golf at Heritage tonight is CANCELLED!!! We will have a make up class next week. NO CLASS TONIGHT! The course will be too wet assuming the rain stops!!!

Tonight at LPGA-USGA Girls Golf we took all of the skills we have worked on the past 4 weeks to the golf course!

Some girls played a scramble, some played their own ball, some played it both ways! We even played coach / girl vs coach / girl!!

The girls learned about marking their golf ball on the green; how to do it, why we do it.

We ended the evening with a fun putting competition!

Next week we are going back to the golf course and working on keeping score!

Thanks to all of our coaches for coming out and helping our girls learn about navigating the golf course.

As previously announced, tonight’s Oakhaven LPGA Girls Golf practice has been canceled and rescheduled for Wednesday, August 19.

We can’t wait to see everyone next week! Keep practicing, and we’ll see you on the course soon! 💗🏌️‍♀️

Tonight we return to the practice area at Heritage Golf Club! The girls had the opportunity to work on all aspects of their short and long game, putting, and even some mind work thru an emoji game.

It’s incredible to be able to see joy in their eyes when something they have been working so hard finally clicks. 

Next week we tackle the course again!!

Tonight we had a beautiful evening at LPGA-USGA Girls Golf week 4.

This week’s stations focused on distance and swing path, and the girls worked so hard while having a blast!

🏌️ Chipping Station: We played in the sand where the girls chipped colorful rubber ducks and golf balls onto the green!They practiced landing soft shots, controlling distance, and aiming for their targets. There were lots of smiles, cheers, and a little friendly competition!

⛳ Putting Station: We used our Squishtees for the Ladder Challenge! The girls worked on speed control, start line, and building confidence by climbing up and down the putting ladder.

💥 Full Swing Station: The Freeze Frame Drill helped everyone focus on balance, tempo, and swing positions. The girls practiced freezing at key points in their swing, learning that good balance and control lead to better shots.

It has been amazing watching everyone improve each week! It’s going to be so much fun to watch everything they’ve learned come together the next two weeks on the golf course!!

⛳️ Girls Golf Reminder! 💗

There will be no Girls Golf practice on Wednesday, August 5, as Oakhaven will be hosting a golf outing.

We’ll be back on August 12 and will wrap up our summer session on August 19. The exciting part is that we’ll be playing on the golf course both of those weeks, so keep practicing your skills and come ready to have fun!

We can’t wait to see everyone back out on the course. Keep swinging, keep practicing, and we’ll see you on August 12! 🩷🏌️‍♀️

Week 4 meant taking our skills from the driving range to the golf course!

Tonight, the girls had the opportunity to get out on the course and experience real play. They successfully avoided the rain and put into action everything they've been learning and practicing over the past few weeks!

Some girls played their own individual shots, while others learned the value of teamwork by playing in scramble format with a partner or team. It was exciting to see their confidence grow as they applied new skills in a game setting!

We are incredibly proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and determination each girl showed today! Watching their hard work come together on the course made for a fantastic evening, and we can't wait to see their continued growth!
