The 2026 NTPA Winter Workshop is heading to Miami, FL on December 14 & 15!
Winter Workshop is our most hands-on, interactive event of the year. Smaller, more collaborative, and focused entirely on doing rather than just listening.

This year, we’re leaning heavily into the workshop side of things. You’ll dive into sessions designed to help you build real tools, practice practical strategies, and walk away with actionable resources you can use in your business the very next day.

- Sunday, Dec 13: Pre-conference activities & early networking

- Monday, Dec 14: Winter Workshop will kick off at 12pm with registration opening at 10:30am.

- Tuesday, Dec 15: Full day of sessions wrapping up at 5:00 PM

🌴 CALL FOR PROPOSALS: 2026 NTPA WINTER WORKSHOP 🌴

Ready to share your expertise with the test prep community? We're looking for hands-on, interactive workshops for the 2026 NTPA Winter Workshop in Miami, Florida (Dec 14–15)!

Unlike traditional conferences, our Winter Workshop is built around doing, not just listening. We want sessions where attendees build something, practice a skill, and walk away with real, usable materials.

💡 What We’re Looking For:

In the Session: Pedagogy, digital test changes, breaking score plateaus, or working with accommodations.

Out of the Session: Business operations, legal basics, marketing, and tech workflows.

Format: Hands-on labs, working clinics, or expert roundtables.

📌 Important Guidelines:

Strictly non-commercial (no selling from the stage).

Keep talk time under 15 mins—get attendees active!

Proposals with co-presenters across programs get priority.

NTPA is aware that Google Gemini is releasing ACT practice content beginning today, June 25. To be clear: this content is not produced, reviewed, authorized, or endorsed by ACT. ACT has confirmed it has no involvement, and the material should not be treated as official.

When Gemini released comparable SAT content, it contained significant errors, including questions presented out of order and topics, like logarithms, that don't appear on the SAT at all. We have no reason to expect the ACT content will be more reliable.

NTPA urges students, families, and educators to prepare using official ACT materials and guidance from qualified professionals.

Most conversations in our industry focus on what we teach. This one is about how we actually run things.

On April 28, join us for a 90-minute panel where tutors share what’s really in their stack—materials, systems, workflows, and the day-to-day setups behind their businesses.

We’ll get into how tutors track students and data, manage scheduling and billing, build lessons, and where AI is actually proving useful (and where it’s not).

This is a moderated conversation, but it’s shaped by the room. Bring your questions or come ready to listen and compare notes.

We chose The Drake Hotel for this year’s conference for a reason ↴

It gives us a setting with real history, right in the middle of the city, and a space that supports both the sessions and the conversations that happen around them.

Over two days, we’ll bring together educators, tutors, and business owners from across the industry to share what they’re seeing, how they’re approaching the work right now, and where things are headed. We’ll also host the ACT administration in the Grand Ballroom on Sunday as part of the pre-conference programming for NTPA members.

There are parts of this work that don’t get talked about as openly ⤵️

Things like how to price in a way that’s actually sustainable, what burnout really looks like over time, or what growth beyond your own hours looks like are decisions best made in conversation with others who have walked a similar path
