Inflation is the rate at which the price of goods and services rises over time.

If inflation is higher than the interest rates earned on your savings, the purchasing power of your money will decrease over time.

For example, if the inflation rate is 2% but your account only earns 1%, the cost of goods and services has outpaced the buying power of the money in your account.

To keep up with inflation, you need to earn an interest rate that is equal to or greater than the inflation rate. Otherwise, the purchasing power of your money will slowly decline (Option C).

Inflation can have a significant impact on your finances over time. That's why it's important to understand how money really works when inflation starts to rise!
