Building with purpose
The Construction Science and Management (CSM) department partnered with Habitat for Humanity, Women in Construction and Legacy Home of Recovery for the 2nd Annual Tiny Home Veteranâs Build. The project launched with real momentum, powered by Clemson students who came ready to build, learn and lead.
Through meaningful community outreach, this effort connected students directly with partners and veterans, creating an unforgettable, hands-on student experience rooted in service leadership and impact. Itâs a powerful example of Clemson Elevate in action, preparing students to make a difference beyond the classroom.
The homes began in Clemson Universityâs Nieri Department of Construction and Real Estate Development XL Yard, a 3-acre outdoor lab at the Ravenel Research Center, where students gain hands-on experience building full-scale structures and applying classroom knowledge in real-world settings.
The completed homes will provide housing for veterans at Legacy Home in Liberty, SC.
