The Friends of Moccasin Lake believe that it is imperative that one of the last truly natural green spaces in the most developed county in Florida must be protected and maintained for current and future generations to visit, learn and celebrate what "Old Florida" used to look like. We ask that you visit our magnificent Nature Park and enjoy some birding, hiking, or just sit and enjoy the sounds of
nature that few places can offer in today's ever changing and complicated world. We offer the opportunity to look at many non-releasable Birds of Prey such as Bald Eagles, Red Tailed Hawks, a Red Shouldered Hawk, a Black Vulture, and some Eastern Screech Owls. Our educational center has many program animals such as snakes, turtles, amphibians, and many non-vertebrates for you to enjoy viewing and learn about. The park is open Tuesday - Sunday 10AM -5PM
Closed on all City recognized holidays
Trails close to new visitors at 4:15. We also have a vibrant Volunteer Community, and welcome your questions and interest in ways that you can help our wonderful Nature Park!
