Math Foundations is all about taking concepts that seem simple and making sure they are truly solid.
Right now, we’re working with integers. Most teens understand the basic idea of positive and negative numbers, but processing them quickly and confidently is a different skill.
So we’re slowing it down just enough to build it back stronger. We use simple tricks, number lines to actually see how the numbers move, and lots of practice that keeps the thinking active.
The best part is watching each teen work at their own just-right level while still learning alongside one another. They compare strategies, help each other through mistakes, and start recognizing patterns faster.
Integers may look easy on paper, but when we really dig in, we’re building much more than math skills. We’re building confidence, fluency, and the ability to tackle harder problems without freezing.
That foundation matters.
