Nature is busy.

This week we were busy little squirrels - foraging for acorns, making acorn tea, counting acorns.

Starting to look like fall out there in our Twigs forest... next week should feel nice and chilly like fall! There's still room in our Tuesday and Friday classes if you are wanting to get out in the crisp morning air with us!

Nature is messy.

This week was all about mud!

We read books about mud, made mud pies, created tree mud faces, gave cars a mud paint makeover, painted with mud paint, and the crowd favorite - created mud in our mud kitchen!

Happy Autumnal Equinox!

Since today is equal light and dark, it is a great time to look into the themes of balance and equilibrium. Where in your life do you feel balanced, and where do things feel off centered?

This is also a great time to do an "inner harvest". Look at the things that you've already grown this year in your life... your lessons, your relationships, your healing. Take stock of things you are grateful for.

It's also a great time to release and shatter in this new season. So what is no longer serving you? What habits and beliefs are not going to serve you?

We celebrated today by being grateful for the small treasures around us as we ventured on a "bear hunt". It may have been a little less of guided activity and a little more following the lead of the little explorers as they explored their curiosities... and sometimes those are the best classes!

There’s something so beautifully mysterious about mushrooms. They appear quietly beneath the trees, tucked among fallen leaves and moss, each one looking like a tiny piece of woodland art.

Some are bright and whimsical, some are wonderfully strange, and others are so small you could walk right past without ever noticing them. But maybe that’s part of their magic—they remind us to slow down, look a little closer, and appreciate the beauty hiding in unexpected places.

The natural world is filled with little treasures that ask for nothing except to be noticed. So this month, let’s celebrate the fascinating, funky, and mysterious little mushrooms that make the forest feel just a bit more enchanted. 🍄🧡

Before kids versus after kids.

If you missed us for our Welcome Autumn class today, we missed you too! Our Friday class still has availability if you wanted to come check us out.

We have held our classes at the park, and in our backyard in previous seasons. Today marks the first time we are exploring the woods behind our house. What a beautiful vibe it was! We'd love to have you join us this season to help us slowly build our woods into something magical.
