Ask someone in their twenties what the best age was, and chances are they’ll point straight back to seventeen.
We remember the wild energy: laughing until our sides hurt in beat-up cars, running on empty, feeling completely untouched by adult responsibilities. It looks like pure freedom from a distance.
Memory loves to smooth out the rough edges. How many of us look back now and realize that underneath that open runway, seventeen was actually one of the most isolating times of our lives?
